Notes:
Glass globes are referred to as flame
protectors. They slide over the neck of a
wine bottle. The funnels come in two sizes
one with a 65 mm diameter (about 2.5
inches) and 55 mm diameter (about 2.25
inches). They ease the pour of liquid
paraffin fuel into the bottle. There are
three options to wick the ceramic wick
holders (cork shaped objects in photo).
Option one is to use 1/4" flat cotton
(far left), option two is to loop #1284
fiberglass (1/8") and slide the
looped end up through the ceramic holder
with two "legs" sticking down in
the oil (middle). The third option is to
use the #1285 (3/16" plus)
fiberglass. Suggested fuel is the pure
version of liquid paraffin. Regular lamp
oils smoke so look for the more refined
version 99.99% pure. The ceramic pieces
are high quality electrical grade Steatite
that can endure a high temperature
environment. Test your designs before
making quantity purchases.
